RDH - Dental Hygienist
Madison
From: Alabama
Number of Years in Dentistry: My passion for dentistry began at a young age, sparking a curiosity that would guide my professional journey. From ages 11 to 17, I shadowed a variety of dental specialties, carefully exploring my options before discovering my true calling in dental hygiene. I finished my associate’s degree in dental hygiene in 2019 in the state of Florida.
After marrying into the military, I relocated to North Carolina where I practiced as a Registered Dental Hygienist at the clinic aboard Camp Lejeune. Prompted by follow-on military orders, my dental hygiene career migrated to California, where I completed my licensure in the state. After the move, I dedicated myself to the pursuit of modernized dental technology. I was first introduced to guided biofilm therapy (GBT) in 2022 and have been an advocate for the system ever since. I am working towards becoming a certified trainer in GBT so that I can share it’s incredible health benefits with many patients to come!
Education: Pensacola State College in Florida
Favorite part of being part of Inspire Smiles team / serving people: With experience in diverse dental settings, I have honed my ability to build strong, trusting relationships with my patients, placing rapport-building at the heart of my practice. During your wellness visit, you can expect to be greeted with genuine compassion and empathy. I am committed to educating my patients on the best practices for maintaining a healthy, beautiful smile while emphasizing the critical connection between oral health and overall well-being.
Fun facts: Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering with my husband at the local humane society and taking our three dogs on outdoor adventures. I love hiking and creating exciting experiences that keep life dynamic and full of joy! You can find me climbing mountains, skydiving, or practicing glass blowing, among many other things. No adventure is too bold!
“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”
