Happy Wednesday!

This past Friday, August 2, I was invited to share about our work with trafficking survivors on TV on Fox 5 SD Morning Edition! I hope you saw it (link at end of email)!

I feel deeply blessed: my commitment is to be KNOWN for my love. It’s not that I need to be in the public eye nor to be famous - I WANT to be known for making a difference in the community. I feel like that is the way to best express faith: tangible real works of love for others; to bear fruit.

I appreciate all of you so much, and YOU ARE MAKING a difference for others! By simply being a part of our practice you are contributing to making an extremely meaningful local impact by furthering this cause.

What’s been accomplished? 2018-2024 (since I began) - $311,063 worth of services provided, 187 women and girls helped to restore their value and dignity! And YOU were part of that! I promise there a real person and story attached to each one of these cases that is deeply moving, touching, and inspiring!

MLK Jr is my MOST favorite person in history; and “I have a DREAM too!” - women and girls released from slavery and restored to wholeness.

Did you hear of the Comic-Con arrests last weekend? - 14 arrested and 8 women and girls recovered, the youngest is 16 yrs old - OMG

Yet the problem is bigger than this one bust: SD is one of the top cities, 3,500-8000 women and girls trafficked per year in OUR county according to FBI data & DA stats of the city. I know, its hard to believe - we need to open our eyes! Say it with me: “Not in MY county!”
